Shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, crews from the Susquehanna Hose Company were called to a fuel spill at the scene of a crash in the northbound lanes of the interstate in Havre de Grace.

While investigating the spill, officials say that they heard another crash happen near the initial scene involving two tractor-trailers that collided, leaving one driver entrapped.

After more than two hours, crews were able to extricate the driver, who was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The driver's condition was not available later on Wednesday morning.

The cause of the crashes remain under investigation.
